Here are some of the things that you can do right now to take steps against book banning and censorship here in Utah.

1. Call/Email your Legislators and tell them to support the Freedom to Read and oppose book banning bills.

2. Report Local Book Challenges and Bans

   • Know about a challenge or book ban at a local school? Reach out to us!

3. Sign and Share a Petition in Support for Utah Libraries

   Current petitions and email campaigns will be on our front page and shared on our social media channels. Signing a petition helps us build our team of people who care about libraries and shows elected officials the strong support Utahns give libraries!

4. Show Up and Speak Up

   • Your voice is important and needed! Whether it’s at a school board meeting, legislative hearing, or posting on social media, your voice has power!
